PUBLIC NOTICE SAFETY-KLEEN CANADA INC. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT ACT NOTICE OF APPLICATION In accordance with the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act , Safety-Kleen Canada Inc., has applied to Alberta Environment and Parks for an approval renewal for the construction, operation and reclamation of the Calgary Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Recyclable Storage Facility. This Facility serves as a hazardous waste and hazardous recyclable storage and transfer facility with a capacity of 45,500 liters of clean solvent, 45,500 liters of spend solvent and 150,000 liters of hazardous or non-hazardous waste in containers. It is located on the Section 2, Township 24, Range 1, West of the 5th Meridian (at 3816 - 7th Street, SE Calgary). Pursuant to section 73 of the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act , any person who is directly affected by this operation may submit a written statement of concern regarding this application. Failure to file a statement of concern may affect the right to file a Notice of Appeal with the Environmental Appeals Board.
