PUBLIC NOTICE VITERRA INC. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT ACT NOTICE OF APPLICATION Viterra Inc. has applied to Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) to amend its SE fertilizer storage facility Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act approval. This facility was formerly a fertilizer manufacturing facility. This amendment is for the removal of ambient monitoring at the site with modifications to the surface runoff at the Phosphogypsum (PG) Stacks. Both PG stacks have been capped and seeded completely. The facility does not manufacture any fertilizer currently. The facility currently stores the following fertilizers: Ammonium Sulphate (7000 tonnes), Ammonium Phosphate (12,000 tonnes), Potash (200 tonnes and Urea (20,000 tonnes). A directly affected person may provide input into certain regulatory decisions, as allowed by the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (section 73). Environment and Parks will review each written statement of concern, seek more information if needed, and notify each filer by letter of the decision to accept or reject their written submission as a valid statement of concern.
